Terms

The terms for using Flow: hosting for Flow Framework agents, the Flow dashboard, and the Messaging API for iMessage, WhatsApp and Telegram.

Last updated 27 October 2026

What Flow is

Flow is for putting AI agents in front of people. It covers flow.engineer, the Flow dashboard (flow.engineer/dashboard), hosting for agents built with Flow Framework, and the Flow Messaging API (api.flow.engineer) for iMessage, WhatsApp and Telegram. Bots made with Flow's earlier bot builder run under these terms too.

Flow Framework itself is open source under the Apache 2.0 licence, on GitHub. That licence, not these terms, covers the framework's code when you run it yourself.

Who can use Flow

Flow is for businesses and developers, not for personal or household use. You must be 18 or older to have an account. If you use Flow for a business, you agree to these terms for that business and confirm you may.

Plans and payment

Your first sign-in starts a free trial on Flow's shared lines, once per account. You buy a paid plan in the dashboard, which shows its price and limits before you pay.

Dodo Payments is our merchant of record: it takes your payment, charges the taxes and sends your invoices. Prices exclude taxes unless we say otherwise. Meta bills its own WhatsApp fees directly to businesses that use their own WhatsApp Business account.

Paid plans are monthly and paid ahead. We don't give refunds. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard, and your plan keeps running to the end of the month you paid for. One exception: if we don't approve a dedicated iMessage line you bought, we refund that payment in full and move you to the Shared plan.

Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: people text your agent first; no bulk sends, marketing blasts or cold outreach, on any plan; and stop writing to anyone who asks you to stop. If an account breaks it, or puts a line or the people on it at risk, we may hold its messages, pause a sender, revoke its keys, or suspend or close the account.

Platform previews and mock data

Sample conversations and dashboards on this site are previews built with mock data. They show how an app behaves; they are not recordings of a real customer.

Third-party platforms

Flow is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Meta, Apple, Telegram or Slack. Their names and logos identify the surfaces your agents can run on and belong to them. Each platform sets its own rules, review and timelines, and we don't control them. A channel may limit, block or stop a number, bot or line at any time, for its own reasons, and Flow cannot reverse that.

iMessage. Flow's iMessage lines are US numbers that Flow rents through our iMessage line provider. They stay Flow's: you cannot bring a number to Flow or take one away. Apple or our iMessage line provider can limit or stop a line at any time. On iMessage, never send or ask for health information, payment card or bank account numbers, or government ID numbers. Flow refuses iMessage for accounts that handle protected health information.

Your agents and your account

You own what you build: your agent's instructions, its code and the data it keeps. You decide what it says, to whom and where it goes live, and you are responsible for how it treats people. Keep your account and API keys safe: anything done with them counts as done by you.

On a custom plan, the agreement we sign with you sets the scope, pricing, support and service levels. Where that agreement and this page disagree, the agreement wins.
