Use the portable package in hosts that implement Agent Plugins 1.0.0.

Flow also generates a portable Agent Plugins 1.0.0 package. Use it when your host supports that format’s skills and Streamable HTTP MCP connections.

Generate it

Load plugins/agent-plugins/ through the host’s installation flow. The package has a root plugin.json, an mcp.json connection using type: "streamable-http", and a skills/ directory.

Check host compatibility

Support for MCP alone does not mean a host can install this plugin format. Confirm that it can load the Agent Plugins 1.0.0 format, discover skills and connect to your server’s transport.

Check it worked: one skill appears once, and a tool request reaches /mcp/plugin. If the host only supports MCP, use the standalone /mcp endpoint instead so it can also read skills.
