# Paid plans

> What each Flow plan costs and includes, how the workspace owner buys one, and what happens at a limit.

Flow sells Messaging plans, which set how many people your agents reach on each channel, and
Pro, for Flow cloud. Prices are in US dollars a month. [Pricing](https://flow.engineer/docs/unified-messaging-api/pricing.md)
has the full rules: who counts, and what happens to people past a limit.

## Messaging plans

* **Free trial**, $0: 25 people per channel, in total, on Flow's shared lines (the shared
iMessage line included). Your first sign-in at flow\.engineer, or
`npx @flow-engineer/flow setup`, starts it, once per account.
* **Shared**, $25 a month: Flow's shared lines with live keys, 300 people a month and 200 a day
per channel. Live as soon as the payment goes through.
* **Dedicated**, $100 a month: your own iMessage line, 1,000 people a day on it (a new line starts
at 250 a day and ramps up over its first 14 days), plus Shared's limits on Flow's shared lines.
* **Dedicated lines are reviewed first.** Flow reviews each line before ordering it, usually
within a day. If Flow declines it, your Dedicated payment is refunded and you are on Shared.
* **Outbound add-on**, +$40 a month on Dedicated: your agent may message people first. Without
it, a line only replies to people who wrote to it.
* **Included, nothing to buy:** SMS/RCS fallback on every iMessage line (the free trial, Shared
and Dedicated), and call forwarding on a Dedicated line.
* A plan covers every app of the account; limits count per channel.

## Flow cloud: Pro

* **Starter**, $0: up to 25 users.
* **Pro**, $25 a month, paid ahead: 500 users included, then each user past 500 by band ($0.025
  up to 1,000, $0.02 up to 5,000, $0.015 up to 20,000, $0.01 after that).
* **Pro includes $10 of agent credit a month** (no rollover); agent usage past it is billed at
  cost, with no markup.
* A user is a person who used your agents in the month, through any surface. Test conversations
  never count.
* **Pro + a Dedicated line:** Dedicated is billed as its own plan, bought right after Pro:
$125 a month for both, before Pro's usage past what it includes.

## Buy a plan

Only the workspace owner buys. Other members can open the plans and send the owner the link.

* **In the dashboard:** Settings → Usage and billing → Choose a plan, or open
  [flow.engineer/dashboard/plans](https://flow.engineer/dashboard/plans).

* **A link that picks the plan:** add `?plan=shared`, `?plan=dedicated`,
`?plan=dedicated&outbound=1` (Dedicated with Outbound) or `?plan=pro`, for example
  `https://flow.engineer/dashboard/plans?plan=shared`.

* **From the API:** [`GET /v0/app`](https://flow.engineer/docs/api-reference/app/get-the-calling-app) lists the plans in
`plans`, with their prices and `upgrade_url`. A coding agent should give the owner that link.

* **Change or cancel** in the same place. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the month paid for.

## At a limit

* The API's limit errors (such as `plan_people_limit` and `sandbox_contact_limit`) carry a hint
that names the next plan and its buy link. See [Past a limit](https://flow.engineer/docs/unified-messaging-api/pricing.md#past-a-limit).

## Help

* Write to [support@flow.engineer](mailto:support@flow.engineer) with your app ID (`GET /v0/app`). Never send keys or secrets.
